Writing Style: 4/5

Sabi Shaikh’s debut novel 'Via Delhi- a Twisted Tale of Love’ has created buzz amongst readers and literary world. With its unique storyline and amazing writing style, Sabi has become well-known face.

The moment I heard and read about the storyline of novel on facebook and websites, I thought it to be a normal love- story with touch of Bollywood styled ups and downs. But as soon as I started reading novel, I just fell in love with Sabi’s writing style as it was very good and the fact I liked about the writing style is that the writer has written it naturally. Means his style is very natural. He doesn’t seem in mood of pleasing readers. He has written the novel by heart and it is seen in the novel.

‘Via Delhi- a Twisted Tale of Love’ is a story about the issue which India is facing at present. The bitter fact in India about the most precious emotion of this world is that you must look at person’s caste and religion before falling in love with someone. It is said that love never watches religion, age, face or body but from our childhood we are taught that we should not have these kind of feelings for opposite religion. The same issue is discussed in this novel. Saifuddin and Mridu meets on online chat and become good friends. Both of them are in friend zone at first with different persons in their life but as it is expected Cupid strikes them with arrows of love and from here the ride of roller-coaster starts. It will shower you with drizzle of friendship, rain of love and thunderstorms of society.

Loved the character of Saifuddin’s father. Yup, everyone would love to have this kind of cool daddy.
